Things continue on an upward trend. Even better, I had the minor breakthrough I've been shooting for over the last few weeks. I finally got to eight reps on my last set of chins. I was prepared to do whatever it takes, struggle with whatever form I had to, to make the reps, but it worked out much better. My form through all sets was very tight. From dead hang to chest-to-bar. Simply, I crushed. On that last set, I banged out the last rep, and after the descent, I was done. I shot my wad getting eight, and wasn't getting another inch. I can live with that. I'll get it next time.
