War Ensemble

Slayer may be the greatest high-intensity treadmill music of all time. Nothing will power you through a hard set like Tommy Araya's vocals and Dave Lombardo's drumming. When you've got two minutes left, and you start screaming "Born of fire!" like your speed has engulfed your feet in flames, it's a good workout.

The structure of the day was the same as last week. The speeds were better selected, and I'm already getting more comfortable running at speed. (Translate: "more comfortable"="less wanting to die") Let's see what happens when Dr. Jack adds some I-pace runs in a few weeks.

Run: 40 minutes, w/12 minutes @ 9.0 mph, 2 minutes @ 7.3 mph, 6 minutes @ 9.0 mph

  1. Slayer, huh? Looks like I'll be on iTunes tonight.

Here's my picks. They're not as hard as Slayer, but for longer tempo efforts, I think they're great.

    Static X - Push It
    Scooter - The Logical Song
    Slipknot - Scream
Static X - Bled for Days
    Static X - Monster

    Thanks for the tune tip!
