... build stamina. Which is something I'm sorely lacking in my swimming muscles right now. I can keep as good pace as at any point last year for up to about 400m, but once we get deep enough into a workout, I'm struggling to get any real speed going. The batteries just run dry so quickly. Today highlighted that (and hopefully was a first step to correcting it) with a lot of long sets. It was planned as 3x1K, but the last set only got 800m, so including warm-up we were looking at 3600m. That's a bunch of metres, and my body just wasn't prepared to hold any real pace for the entire stretch. Luckily, I don't think anyone is flying in my lane right now, since I was still able to hold my place as leader. But leading slowly.
