During this break from real training, I was only supposed to run once per week, for just three miles, on flat terrain. Well, I haven't stuck to that exactly. It's only been once per week, and it's been flat, but when I finished my 3 mile loop today, I had to turn and head out for another two. Things felt really good, I have no idea how fast I was, but who cares? I did feel some fatigue in my glutes and lower back, so the deadlifts yesterday must have been working. That's a good sign to strengthen the support muscles now to carry me through race efforts in a few months.
